All – English, Maths, Science, IT, PSHE, Citizenship, Design and Technology, MFL, Art, Geography, History, etc. Please see Curriculum Benefits for further information.

How many children are in each business team?

Teams of 4/5/6 are ideal, as although there are 4 job roles, these can be shared.

What points should I remember when putting the teams together?

It is advisable to mix girls and boys and abilities and talents.

What time scale should the project be run over?

We advise anything from 4 to 12 weeks – ideally 1 – 1.5 terms.

How much time do we have to devote to it i.e.: hours per week?

It is entirely up to the school how much time is allocated, and when it is done. The project needs to be completed by the agreed deadline with Education Business Plus.

What support does Education Business Plus offer?

An EBP coordinator will meet with the class teacher/s to explain the project. The EBP coordinator will then deliver an initial team building workshop and project introduction to the participating young people.

The EBP coordinator is available by phone and email to answer queries.

At a second workshop, the EBP coordinator will visit school to encourage and check on young people’s progress. This also allows an opportunity for the EBP coordinator to inform the children about the judging process and how to prepare for it.

Judging will take place on an agreed date at the school and certificates are awarded.
