Teacher benefits

Launched in September 2008, the Time for a Change programme adopts a hands on approach in order to further develop an awareness of enterprise skills in KS2 children. It promotes enjoyment of ‘learning by doing’ so pupils can achieve personal and social development.  The programme also helps to foster an environment of tolerance and friendship.

The project is designed to help primary school teachers develop policy and strategy that will embed enterprise within their teaching. The programme ensures enterprise is not merely bolted on, but rather promotes cohesion and integration with all curriculum areas.  Time for a change is flexible and links well with existing enterprise initiatives that schools have in place.  The programme supports the KS2 Curriculum and is focused around three outcomes of Every Child Matters – enjoy and achieve, making a positive contribution and achieve economic well-being. More information on how the project links to the curriculum can be found in the Curriculum Benefits section.

The project is fully resourced, supported by Education Business Plus staff and can be completed at various times of year to fit around school timetables.  Schools taking part in the programme can also benefit  from a range of educational computer games designed to support the ethos of  Time for a Change.  Please visit the educational games page  for demonstrations of this exciting and innovative support tool.
