About the project
The Time for a Change project is funded by the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
The aim of the project is to build an awareness of enterprise skills in the young people involved through a hands-on approach.
The ability to work as part of a team, listening skills, communication, time management, financial awareness and risk taking are just some of the skills that will be developed during the life of the project.
The project will begin in Year 5/6 and will be based around Environmental and Social issues. It will involve workshops about Enterprise delivered by Education Business Plus as well as a challenge set to the year group. Each school will be linked with at least one person from a local business.
The challenge will involve the children working in small groups to raise money to buy something for a person in a developing country. They will work as a charity, with each person having their own job role. Judges will select the winning team and runner up.
If your child progresses to one of the participating High Schools they will continue with the project in years 7 and 8.
